Terms of Service

This is a working draft written for the product as built. It must be reviewed by qualified counsel before launch.

1. The service

CoachPath is software for independent sports trainers to publish a profile, take bookings, and record athlete progress, and for parents, guardians, and athletes to view what a trainer shares with them. CoachPath is not a party to the coaching relationship, does not employ trainers, and does not vet, certify, or supervise them.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your password confidential.
A trainer account is for an individual or business providing coaching services. The trainer is responsible for everything entered into their workspace, including content added by staff coaches they invite.
A parent or guardian account may be created by an adult who has authority to make decisions for the athletes they add.
An athlete login for a minor may be created only by that minor's guardian and remains under the guardian's control.

3. Subscriptions and payments

Trainer subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or annually, at the prices shown on the pricing page. Trials are free; when a trial ends the workspace becomes read-only until a plan is chosen.
You may cancel at any time; the subscription continues until the end of the paid period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
If a trainer enables session payments, those payments are between the family and the trainer, processed by Stripe, and paid to the trainer's own account. The trainer's cancellation and refund policy, shown at booking, applies. Any platform fee on session payments will be disclosed before it is charged.
Parent and athlete accounts are free.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to upload content you do not have the right to share, to harass anyone, to collect information about children without authority, to attempt to access another workspace or family's records, or to interfere with the service. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms and may remove reported content.

5. Content and consent

Trainers and guardians keep ownership of the content they add. By adding content you give CoachPath the limited license needed to store, process, and display it to the people it is shared with. Trainers are responsible for obtaining any consent needed to photograph or record athletes and to share those recordings, and for honoring a guardian's withdrawal of consent.

6. Not medical advice

The service is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Any health or limitation notes are entered voluntarily and are for the trainer's reference only.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may change features with notice and will not materially reduce the service you paid for during a paid period.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, CoachPath is not liable for injuries occurring during training, for a trainer's or family's conduct, or for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability to a trainer is limited to the fees paid in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Termination and data

You may close your account at any time. After closure we delete or anonymize your data as described in the Privacy Policy, keeping only what billing or law requires.
